Just published: Daniel Steinmetz-Jenkins (Columbia University), "French Laïcité and the Recent Reception of the German Secularization Debate into France" ("Politics, Religion & Ideology", 12 [4], 2011: pp. 433-47).

Quote: "[B]eginning in the 1980s some leading French intellectuals turned their attention towards the German debate over secularization that Carl Schmitt initiated with his work Political Theology in the early 1920s. ...
